HOW DID YOU BECOME A FEMINIST? (Story)

It was when I realized I liked women and suddenly i had a newfound respect and admiration for everything that a woman is and I learned so much about the different ways women have been oppressed and still are, whether obviously or subtly. I heard stories from others about the real horror stories they've experienced and I realized that the sexism and misogyny that most girls face in some way existed too often and I knew it wasnt acceptable. I had wanted to go into Neuropsychology and as a woman entering the STEM field and a woman who loves other women, I soon started noticing all these little phrases and body language and attitudes that I never thought were wrong before. I suddenly understood what it meant to be a woman in today's society and how it differed so much around the world, and I was not happy with it. I felt like I needed to be someone in my peers so step up and not take this patriarchal bullshit.
