I became a feminist and understood the term perfectly the moment the word of an abuser/rapist was more credible than the victim(s). The moment the victim was at blame for not having the fear or courage enough to have walked away from the abuser but gained the strength enough to do it for her child. To raise a man, a gentleman to learn how to treat women and not fail society as a man and not a coward like his father.
